The Associate of Science in Christian Ministry offers beginning preparation to traditional and non-traditional students for entry into service at local church, parachurch, and international Christian ministries. Also, students interested in baccalaureate studies in Bible, theology, or ministry will find the Associate of Science in Christian Ministry to be a beneficial preparatory program. By completing the Associates program, students will have finished half of the requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry.

The graduate holding an Associate of Science in Christian Ministry will have begun to obtained familiarity with the general contents and meaning of the Bible, using it as the authoritative guide for faith and practice; begun to learn how to combine sincere convictions regarding the Word of God with honesty and openness to new insights and methods; begun to develop a repertoire of ministry skills and ideas for implementation in the graduate’s field of service; and begun to acquire a vision for changing the world through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Completion of the Associate of Science in Christian Ministry will allow placement directors to make recommendations to ministries inquiring about the graduate’s preparation to begin service in various ministries, as well as to baccalaureate programs inquiring about the graduate’s readiness to continue his or her studies.
